Motivation: Springing Forward
Time and season changes this week offer a great chance to think and pray about personal change.
Most of us are so occupied with responsibilities at work and home that we likely don’t find time or energy to think about what God may be wanting to do within us.
That is, until we are pressed to do so by some unexpected development beyond our control.
But what if we allowed our clocks springing forward to motivate our thoughts about how God might be desiring to move us forward?
This doesn’t require a major effort, I'm learning. Just finding a quiet place and fifteen minutes to a half-hour to sit with the Lord.
Start with a question: “Lord, what do You want to tell me about me?”
Then listen…until He communicates what is on His heart for you.
My experience is that He will speak. He always affirms me with His love, as He challenges me to cooperate with Him in the ways He wants to advance me, make me more like Him.
“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
Philippians 1:6 NLT
